Truly Sensational 1941 Buick 56S Super Coupe
New to our Pleasanton showroom is this rare and highly impressive 1941 Buick 56S 2 Door Super Coupe with very good black exterior paint and a tan cloth interior. Under the hood you’ll find a... numbers matching 125 horsepower, 248 cid straight-eight engine with twin 2-barrel Stromberg carburetors, paired with the numbers-matching 3-on-the-tree manual transmission. This highly original classic is believed to have a mere 23,854 lifetime miles on the odometer, however, true mileage can not be verified. This classic has been maintained at the highest possible levels over the past 70+ years, and is reported to have spent approximately two decades in a private museum collection.
Believed to Have 23,854 Lifetime Miles on Odometer
The current owner informs us that this 1941 Buick 56S Super Coupe originally sold in Pennsylvania and changed hands between owners four total times. The current owner took possession in 2012, and undertook a light cosmetic and mechanical refresh that included having the dash's amazing jeweled-metal surface restored. All the original gauges work correctly, and although this is an older restoration, still shows great in person. This beautiful Buick resembles a near-new example with only minor blemishes to paint and original 'patina'd' chrome surfaces.
In terms of performance, this 1941 Buick 56S Super Coupe starts easily and drives like a much newer classic with good acceleration, handling and overall performance. It offers a smooth ride quality combined with excellent visual appeal- few examples on the open market can even begin to compare.
Additionally, this 1941 Buick 56S 2 Door Super Coupe has maintenance records and repair documentation going back at least 10 years. Although there is no concrete proof, the current owner believes that the 23,854 miles on the odometer could be the accurate lifetime mileage since there is nothing to indicate otherwise. We can tell you that this example appears highly original throughout and worthy of another prestigious collection.
Excellent example of a true American Classic
Overall, this 1941 Buick 56S Super Coupe is one of the most prestigious examples available nationwide and the current asking price is likely too conservative. This would make an outstanding addition to any serious collection and this one won’t remain available for long- it’s an absolute steal at the current asking price.
