Up for auction is this very nice Buick 8 Special with the original straight 8 engine. It starts right up and runs awesome. It is cold blooded in the morning, however, once warmed up it starts right up and the slightest touch of the starter pedal.(Starter plunger is under the gas pedal). It does not smoke at anytime. It runs strong, smooth and cool. Carries 50 lbs of constant oil pressure. The car has a 3 on the tree manual tranny & shifts ever so smooth. The clutch is good. The cars starts, runs and drives very good with good highway manners. 55-65mph all day long. The brakes work good with almost new tires. The engine could use a new exhaust manifold gasket. The full engine gasket set is included and will be in the trunk. The body of the car is solid from top to bottom. The rockers, floorboards & trunk are in amazingly solid shape. The car has 60K miles on it. The glass is all good. The windows roll up & down like new. All doors shut & open just as nice as a new one. .amazing. The car looks to have been repainted at some time and looks presentable. It is not show quality, however, very nice. The front bumper and grill are nice.(See pictures) You can not miss that front end coming doe the highway!! The Fulton visor is cool looking and in fine shape. The stainless trim(and a lot of it) is all very nice without pits or dents. The bumpers do have a very small amount of surface rust, however, look OK. The gas gauge does not work. The headlights(High & Low beam), taillights, brake lights, turn signals, amp gauge, temp gauge, oil pressure, odometer, heater, wipers all function properly. The needle fell of end of speedo so cannot read, however, odometer racks up the miles. The gauge faces are all in good shape. Nice chrome on center of dash. The headliner is in good shape & appears to be the original material.(see pictures) The seats have after market seat covers which I have not had off. Original carpet on back floor, with rubber mat up front.(a little cracked in spots, but nice) There is a small dent in the rear bumpers.(see pictures). Nice & clean original material in trunk. Good spare tire, hubcap, jack, lug wrench & etc. No rust in the spare tire wheel well which is very rare to see. I added a new 6 volt electric fuel pump & wired to shut off when switch is off! Fresh oil change and filter. I have driven this car over 500 miles this month with no problems. It is a dependable daily driver that is a blast to cruise in! It always receives the 'thumbs up' and a ton of smiles. It rides and handles tight and smooth with not rattles or vibrations. Please call me to discuss this piece of history. I believe I described everything, however, if you have more questions, please message with questions or to exchange phone numbers so we can discuss further. The new owner is going to love this car. It is a nice survivor that is not all worn out with low miles of 60K. This vehicle is offered by a WI dealer, therefore a WI buyer will have state, local and other WI fees added to t he final bid.
