I have not driven this vehicle for any great distance in snowy Nebraska,I won't until Spring. A final tune and adjustment is needed before extended driving. Seller to pick up in Omaha, Nebraska.
Original interior is free of smells and stains, slight wear for a 1954, very very presentable. No pitting or cracks in chrome or dash pad. Even the steering wheel has the irradecesent glow of new( no cracks). The headliner is hole free and perfect condition. No mice or any moth holes in this vehicle. The seats sit very nice, 2 small seam splits on front seat pan but minor. All the material is not dry rotted or fraying. The door panels are original and great shape. Factory carpet and jute replaced when seats were cleaned, the floor and seat frames were cleaned and show -0- rust. All glass is original and free of cracks and delamination. Solex Glass. ..very clear and green tinted. Windows crank easy and close precisely to avoid road noise. The two cases in trunk have several manuals and extra parts from refreshing. Countless hours of restoration and over $22, 000 in receipts for misc items to make this museum quality. Please call Frank 402-578-5624 for more details. Vehicle is listed locally for right to sell to qualified buyer. This is one of the top 3 originals I have owned in the last 20 years. On Dec-06-18 at 20:27:51 PST, seller added the following information:In response to the many of the following questions- I hope to be precise on my descriptions: All dash and exterior lights all work.Tires are perfect, NO AGE CRACKS. Limited miles.
Dome light may need a bulb ,I can't figure out how to remove lense and because the headliner is perfect I don't want to damage the materials edge.
Heater - heat exchager has not been checked due to vehicle not being driven in cold climates, when purchased I identified a coolant leak in the hoses near firewall. The master cylinder was also rebuilt and brakes bled, understand this system is tricky to bleed with upper and lower wheel cylinders up front, I would advise a rebleed and final adjustment before driving. There is pedal travel. Hemi engine was tuned and runs, was not driven much, this was a garage kept vehicle since 1998, less than 150 miles over the years. The passenger side rocker panel was removed to get a dent removed due to previous owner damage. This piece has been repaired and has new clips installed on rocker panel. Moulding needs to be adjusted and clipped on rocker clips. Radio antenna- it is perfect and comes with car, the length is 5 ft and cannot fit while on my stacker lift in my garage. Enjoy the bidding as few DeSotos like this are remaining.

The 1954 Desoto Firedome was owned by a prominent family for 45 years, the family decided to refresh the paint and leave all else original.
