This car was purchased in 2012 in New Jersey. It has received a body off restoration. The frame was blasted and coated then put back together piece by piece. It has a new exhaust system, new gas tank/fuel pump, brakes and carbs have been professionally tuned and it runs smooth. There are no gas drips from the carbs. It has been restored to the original color combination as indicated in the attached British Motor Heritage document.
I have been driving this car for two years and it always starts with no issues and is a reliable driver that cruises just fine at 60-70 miles per hour. Oil pressure is at 50-60 hot and although the 1500 is not a fresh rebuild it runs well and has no leaks other than the usual little drip on the bottom. The rad is in excellent shape and runs at 170 normally and 180 on a hot day. It has never overheated. Wire wheels and the tires are Coker Classic MS 165R 15 and are well balanced with no wobbles. The heater works great as does the heater fan for fall driving.
The paint finish is very presentable overall and top decks wet sanded and polished. There are a couple of small imperfections at the rear top of front fenders where they meet the hood that could have been blocked out easily but were overlooked. I was going to repaint these areas but after owning it a short while I decided they really were not that noticeable enough to bother. I did purchase a gallon of black paint which will be included.
I really don’t want to sell this car as its value will continue to increase but we are moving into a home with a two garage and we currently have a four car. I am building an Austin Healy kit car and unfortunately it is not far enough along to be saleable or it would be the one going.
I have tried to describe the car honestly so there will not be disappointment if you decide to purchase it. I have many more pictures available and you can contact me with any questions.
