1960 Nash Metropolitan convertible, 59,000 miles
It was purchased rust free from a collector in northeast Ohio in August 2018
It was dismantled and restored in our shop over the winter. When purchased, it was drivable and everything was in working order. The ignition and starting system had been updated from the original Lucas system that was notoriously unreliable. You know why the Brits drink warm beer? Because they have Lucas refrigerators.
The following is a list of work competed/restoration.
Finished in it's Mardi Gras Red over Frost White combination of paint colors.
The bumpers and bumper guards have been rechromed.
Brake system has been rebuilt.
Electric fuel pump and regulator are added.
New tires, battery and tune up.
Original AM radio has been restored and works great.
Professionally sewn and fitted factory-correct houndstooth upholstery. New carpeting front to back, including the trunk, with floor mats. New 3-window top with boot cover.
The car has the original drive train.
The correct jack and rare service manual are in the trunk.
It has a 1.5 litre, 4 cylinder engine, single barrel Zenith carburetor at 55 hp.
Three-speed manual transmission on the column.
This car is the most desirable Series IV Metro for their rear trunks.
This little car is very reliable. It will get you there and back again with lots of attention and double takes along the way.
