eBay Very nice survivor car, 1964 MG Midget MK 1 (1098 cc engine). Repaint from Signal Red to Bright Red sometime in the past. Very presentable as is. Paint has been touched up to maintain original patina. Mechanics have been freshened or restored: new brakes, new starter, new generator, new distributor, new rear springs, restored radiator, flushed and sealed gas tank. New fuel pump being installed this week(done), hood latch repair this week(done), driver side cowl trim piece being installed this week. MG logo and patent plates ordered for valve cover. Original steering wheel and horn push need restoration or replacement (original banjo purchased purchased, not yet received). New original style horns included, vintage aviation seat belts included. Good original floors, carpets, upholstery. Side screens, AMCO accessory wind wings. Have two piece top (hood) bows, but needs vinyl top, boot or tonneau. Good black tires mounted on sexy optional 13 inch wire wheels. Gearbox starting to whine in first (may be clutch). Bid accordingly. Receipts on all repairs. Extra collectibles: Car and Driver '61 introduction issue of MG Midget Mk 1, watercolor racing painting (given as award), MG trophy mug, Washington DC MG Club Concours wooden plaque. Low entry fee to a great hobby. Sprites and Midgets are appreciating at about 10% per year (tell this to the wife, husband, partner or parent). Work continues (addition of racing numbers). Car is listed locally and auction may end at any time. Email for videos of running and driving car.
Payment due in full at auction end. Pick up only. Will assist with loading. Can recommend east coast haulers. Email questions.
