Up for auction is a barn fresh 1966 Jaguar 420. This particular car was owned by a Jaguar nut that once had 26 Jaguars! The owner past away 10+ years ago and everything went into a family trust. Most of the good cars were sold off except for the 4 door “orphan” sedans. The family was going to have them crushed and I made an offer to buy all 14 of them, haul them to my shop, loosely assemble them and sparkle them up. My intentions are to sell them as-is and not restore them unless someone wants it restored and I can do that at my shop www.catzauto.com. This particular car P1F/25622DN which is a Jaguar 420 powered by a 4.2 XK engine with power steering, air conditioning left-hand drive and a manual transmission with DeNormanville overdrive. This Jaguar 420 was number 622 out of 643 vehicles manufactured during 1966 in the United Kingdom. This car was originally from Texas so there is very little rust! The doors, frame, fenders, hood, boot are solid, as shown along with all the other sheet metal parts and everything fits very nicely. The paint appears to be original with no signs of being repainted; it even has the original windscreen! The engine seems all intact and turned over freely by hand. The oil inside was clean with no water and there was antifreeze in the block lower section so I do not think the block is cracked from freezing. The interior appears to be original. This is a very straight, salvageable, unmolested Jaguar with the very desirable manual transmission with overdrive and factory A/C that does not deserve to be crushed. It is not too often that I find cars that haven’t been parted out or rusted away. It will make a nice project for someone as- is and being auctioned at no reserve . This car comes with a clear Ohio title in the sellers name and will be sold with a bill of sale from a registered dealer’s license from Ohio. This car has no warranty and no returns. We are able to assist in your transportation needs locally or on the other side of the world.
This car was already sold once to someone offering to pay with Bit Coin after they already won the car. I do not accept these types of payments so please do not ask.
