Turns out my eyes are bigger than my stomach and I bit off more than I can chew. Because of that I'm putting up my 67 cutlass for sale. This project is a little more than I can handle at this point and its time to cut bait and move on.
Here's what I know
the car was built in Fremont, CA (I believe its been in CA its whole life)
original color in and out
came with a 330 paired with a 2speed jetaway trans
Refurbished exhaust header to bumper
The original motor (330) had a blown head gasket when I bought it. After some tear-down I decided to swap the motor out with a 72' 455. I made the mistake of buying without checking compression or hearing it run. you can guess where this story ends. The 455 runs...however cyl #3 has 0 compression so obviously the 455 needs work.
As far as I know the trans is fine but I haven't had the ability to run it up to speed.
Interior is a 8/10. The passenger seat has a tear and the arm rest needs repair
Body is a 6/10
Rust in the typical areas including the vinyl top.
Pink in hand
Reg is non-op and current until this month (June 19) its about 140 to bring it out of non-op
I have a few things to go with the car as a package.
Replacement front left fender and trim piece
Hood hinges ( springs are in the trunk)
New antenna
suspension bushing rebuild kit
The 330 and all of its bits and pieces.
Service manual
and some other loose parts that belong to the car.
I will send more photos upon request.
