Nice driver quality car, this isn’t a concourse car, it has never received a full restoration but I did do some major refreshing and maintenance on the car. The car was very tired, worn and dirty when I received it but still a solid car that had never been apart. I cleaned up and serviced many of the components. The car contains a few new parts some of which are reproduction and I have listed them below. I have saved all the old parts for later restoration if desired.
The car received Ziebart treatment early in it’s life. I replaced the original ziebart plugs with new black plugs but I still have the old plugs as well.
INTERIOR : The interior is original with the exception of the carpet. Small tear in the drivers seat and the door handles are worn. All gauges work.
Center console is missing a clamp on the front.
BODY: Correct factory color, All original sheet metal and fiberglass, no rust. I had the car resprayed in the year I owned it. All glass is original with the exception of front windshield. Hood peak molding has 3 small dents.
New wiper arms and blades.
Electrical: Original wiring, all lights work with the exception of flashers, it needs a new turn signal switch.
ENGINE: Numbers matching engine, I had the engine rebuilt, less than 2000 miles since rebuild. Rebuild was kept pretty much stock with the exception of Lunati cam shaft. New pistons, rods, bearings. Original crankshaft. Heads received a valve job, new push rods, rocker arms, springs, valves, hardened valve seats.
Valve covers are original and have been restored. Original intake manifold. Original exhaust manifolds that I had sent to JET HOT for a coating.
New oil pan.
The car had a Holley when I bought it but I replaced it with an Autolite C9zfc stamped at the base of the carb. Missing tag.
I cleaned and detailed the engine compartment while the engine was out.
The fuel pump is a replacement.
REAR END: I replaced the incorrect 8 inch with a Ford 9 inch with a track loc and 3.25 gears
TRANSMISSION: Numbers matching 4 speed top loader. I replaced the seals while the engine was out of the car. New clutch, flywheel was turned.
Undercarriage: The car received Zbart treatment early in it’s life, the underside was fairly dirty with old undercoating and road grime, I scraped most the undercoating and painted the underside with red oxide primer.
MISC. I bought the car from a Shelby dealer in Mass who had owned it for only a couple of weeks. 3 owners prior to him. The car is listed in the SAAC registry.
The door vin sticker and door Shelby tag were in rough shape and had to be removed for painting. They were replaced with reproductions from Marti Works. The old tag and sticker were saved.
Suspension: I installed five leaf rear springs but have the original rear leaf springs that will go with the car. New spring shackles and bushings. New XX shocks all around. New front springs and spring perches.
New upper and lower control arms, new tie rod ends and pitman arm. Power steering control valve is new.
Brakes: New pads, shoes and wheels cylinders. Brake fluid has been flushed
Cooling: Reproduction 3 row radiator, new water pump. New hoses and clamps.
Exhaust: Exhaust pipes, muffler and resonators are new reproduction.
Ignition: Distributor is an Autolite stamped with 12127 DOAF 12131. I replaced the points with Pertronix ignition. New spark plugs and
