Up for sale is a 1972 MGB GT. This is a California vehicle that I brought with me when I moved to North Carolina. It is currently registered and has clear NC title in my name. Its has been garaged for many years, but it has always been kept in running condition and is driven occasionally for grocery shopping or coffee runs. Mechanically the car is in descent shape -it start, drives, shifts, and stops just fine. The twin SU Carbs were rebuilt 3 years ago. The interior is in decent shape and will only need a couple carpet panels and some attention on a cracked dash. It is all stock and most original parts are still there and in good condition. It has some surface rust on hood and will also need some minor rust repairs on back area under lift gate and quarter panel areas. The floor pans are fine. Headlights, blinkers and stop lights work fine. Many extra misc parts will be included in sale. Wife just got a new SUV and I need to make room in garage. :-(
I would also like to answer a few questions that some interested people have asked.
I have included pics of the bottom of the car.
No, I do not recommend driving this car a long distance. I have not driven this car more than 20 miles round trip. It has been a weekend fun drive to coffee and friends house. It is nearly 50 years old and it will need for the new owner to go over it and then decide when it is good for a long drive. Please plan on bringing a trailer.
Will be happy to assist with delivering car to car shipper at buyer's expense.
I am flexible on price and I am willing to negotiate with the right buyer. Low ball offers will be ignored.
