VERY NICE DRIVER! - Priced to SELL!
This 'B' is a great car, looks great and runs well.
Prior owner had the car painted green, installed new vinyl upholstery, carpets (both in Honey tan) and made other minor repairs.
I have added: New vinyl top, head rests/restraints (covered to match the honey tan, honey tan shift boot, 3-point seat belts, Hermosa Radio from Retro Radio, reinstalled the heater core that was removed previously because it was leaking, new badge bar with running lights, light relay and dash switch, Wood grain steering wheel (have the faux wood dash and consul inserts/covers but not installed), new dash cap to replace the cracked cap, new front shocks, break lines, and a myriad of smaller items. I had the clutch slave cylinder replaced.
Acceleration is good, driving is GREAT, handling is quick and tight and fun to drive.
It is a conversation starter – people will say… I had; my Dad had; my best friend had; My Dad, sister and I took a road trip from Indiana to Tucson in a 70 ‘B’ (yes someone said it to me)…Sometimes twice in the same parking lot.
There are 3 or 4 shop manuals and the original Owner’s Manual , along with paid invoices back to 1988 included.
This is my weekend car with occasional trips to the office. I've driven from Marana on the Northwest side of Tucson to Vail on the Southeast side and all parts in between. On surface streets and I-10 with highway speeds are at a steady 65 to 70 MPH (3500 to 4000 rpm).
Have over $14,000 invested. Wish I could keep the 'B' but I can’t. Now is the right time to find an owner who can drive it for years to come.
