1977 MG MGB convertiblehello and thanks for your interest in my old favorite joyride.
a little history:this car was purchased for me by my husband in oklahoma city approx. 13 years ago. thats when gasoline hit over $4.00 a gall$$on. my main car is a gas guzzler that uses super premium only$$$ Needless to say, this car is good on gas.My husband paid $7500 for it, then put in another $2000 on various upgrades .
I live in Corpus Christi , Texas and loved driving around town with the top down with my white English Bulldog! we, the car, my bulldog, always drew alot of attention.Sadly, both my husband and dog have passed away. The car has sat for over 4 years in my garage. at first, i drove it every week, every other week and then at some point it didnt start. i guess i let it sit for too long. friends have started it up(spraying starter fluid on carbuerator) and it does run, everyone says the gas has gone bad. im told it has been converted to a weber carbuerator...
the last inspection was 2012, everything passed.overall the car is in good shape. minor work needs to be done to get it running again. the body is in good shape , it has no cancer or rust holes. it has minor pitting rust spots. the wheels are old and rusted, tires are in decent conditionthe convertible top is in decent shape with only one tear in one corner, about 2 inches long. it has its boot cover(in excellent shape) and a trunk load of extra parts and accessories.im no mechanic. i can only say this car was running and in good shape and sat too long. some might make it a project car, some might be satisfied with the way it is...after they fix what is wrong w the fuel line/or??
i hope to find a new owner who will love driving this car as much as i did.please message me any questions, i can add photos of anything you want to see better, up close.
