I also want to add that the bright work on this car is all in very good condition. I don't think much if any would require much attention.
This car I was told came from Texas in the last 10 years, 5 or 6 years ago the car stopped running and it was left sitting outside. There is a couple rust spots under the hard top that are holes and something got on the hood and there is a couple holes there. The right rear quarter extension has surface rust but its a bolt on piece. There is some surface spots here and there please not pictures. With all that said the body on this car is exceptionally good for one of these. Where this car shines is underneath, please note the pictures, its not rusted out and the car is not a oil dripping mess. The under side of the car is dirty but no rust!!! Its a very solid car.
I installed a new fuel pump and I got it to run, it sounded like crap, you could hear the original plug wires miss firing 10 feet away , so I replaced them and gained a lot. Then I read about the injector seals. I replaced the Injector seals and the injector seats and O-rings. I also cleaned the injectors in a commercial grade sonic cleaner I use for bike carbs and I tested them and when I got a real nice spray I put it all together and the motor sounds quite good. It still needs some fine tuning and I am sure some vacuum lines could stand to be changed. I also looked under valve covers to make sure oil tubes where together, the internals of the engine looked good, Must have had frequent oil changes,
I don't want to miss lead anyone, the car has a few issues that I have seen, the drivers window does not work ( no sound , may be a power issue ) The hood cable is broke ( have to reach in grill and pull on it to open hood ) The AC does not work ( does have new style fittings ) Power antenna does not move ( or I don't know how to work it ) I briefly tried to open top boot but could not get it, have no clue as to condition of soft top,
I drove the car all of three miles, the brakes feel good and responsive, The transmission seemed to shift properly and the car was not all over the road. It does have a hesitation and idles a bit fast until it warms up but all in all I feel it has a very good drive train. The car is what it is, its 40 years old and has never been restored, it would make a excellent project for a person who is into tinkering without rebuilding everything, I would not be surprised if you could tag it up and start driving it. Please note also the drivers front fender has a few dents in it and the drivers front bumper extension is broke. I try to be as honest as I can about whatever I sell on here. I buy old cars, tinker and then sell Its just a hobby. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions. Car is sold as is where is No warranty expressed or implied.
