This is a really nice car for any seasoned enthusiast or beginner in the world of e30's to enjoy for many years. It has a lot of nice modifications and maintenance already done. It's never been in an accident and the fenders have matching VIN tags with the factory seams untouched. The engine is original and it runs very smooth, quiet and strong.
Current owner has done all repairs through Tommy's Automotive, a BMW specialist shop, in West Chester, PA.
At 155K miles, the previous owner replaced the timing belt, tensioner, water pump, every hose, radiator, exhaust manifold gaskets and studs, Bosch distributor cap and rotor, NGK plugs and wires, V-belts, engine mounts and many more small items. At 162K miles, the previous owner replaced the front control arms, steering end links and had it aligned. It has Zimmerman cross drilled rotors in front with Hawk HP+ pads. The wheels are very rare genuine Hartge Type A 16x7.5 et25. They're in good condition with no curb rash and the centerbore lips are in perfect condition. The tires are Toyo R1R 225/45/16 with about 4K miles on them. The suspension is sitting on H&R race springs with Bilstein sports and Diverse Motorsport 15mm drop hats in front to correct reverse rake. The result is an absolutely perfect fitting wheel and stance. It has an e30 M-Tech 1 spoiler painted diamond black and the rubber is still in pretty good condition. It also has a Z3 1.9 shifter with all new bushings, carrier, selector rod. There is a brand new Supersprint cat-back exhaust with all new mounting hardware. It has all black genuine euro grilles on the front along with Abrahams Motorsport smoked turn signal lenses. It also has a new Z3 antenna unit installed to get rid of the big ugly stock one. It has a brand new I lip with all new fastening clips. Lastly flex disc and center support bearing were replaced. All parts, except aftermarket performance ones, are original equipment purchased from Cain BMW.
Inside, the car has sport seats, Nardi leather steering wheel and matching knob with new boot. All of the gauges are 100% functional and recently repaired by VAC, including the odometer. Brand new Sony head unit with door mounted Rockford Fosgate speakers and Polk Audio speakers on the decklid. The dash has one straight crack going vertical right in the middle of the passenger's side. The indigo floor mats were replaced brand new from the dealer 2 years ago just before they went NLA. It has brand new ZKW driving lights with 3M Laminix film. This car does have some items to still be addressed. The rear subframe and trailing arm bushings were going to be the next items to replace. They're not clunking yet, but they're still original and feel squishy with the big sticky tires. The worst spots of rust are on the underside lip of the trunk lid and the back of the battery box on the rear apron. It has typical stone chips and dings here and there. The transmission has always had a slight whine when it's cold. It's not a perfect car, but a new owner would really have some fun with this.
I wish I could spend more time with this car, but with life's priorities changing rapidly it deserves a better home. This car is meant to be driven and is not a garage queen, so bid and be the better owner this car deserves.
