eBay For sale is my 1999 30th Anniversary Pontiac Trans Am (Car#1578) with the Daytona 500 Pace car decal option from the factory. This is the rare convertible with the 6 speed manual Hurst. Pontiac made 1600 anniversary models in 1999, 535 of them were convertibles and only 175 models were convertibles with the Hurst 6 speed manual transmission. The car has 37,702 original miles (subject to change a bit since I drive it about 5 miles every few weeks to run it) and is in excellent mechanical condition. All stock. The car has been throughly enjoyed for several years. It has been in my family for nearly all of its life. I have had the car for nearly 15 years, my uncle a GM mechanic owned the car before me. He purchased the car after the original owner forced a manufacture buyback for squeaky brakes at the original selling dealer in California. I have always taken good care of it, using only the finest quality lubricants and stock parts. The only modification is an aftermarket power steering cooler. GM had a manufacturing flaw in the internal power steering cooler attached to the cooling system. Overtime the plastics in this part break down and power steering fluid leaks into the cooling system. GM also no longer makes this internal power steering cooler part, hence the aftermarket power steering cooler. With the enjoyment and actual use because I did not put this car on jacks and in a time capsule; there has been some cosmetic wear of the following: The hood stripes are faded (I have a new stripe kit), the front bucket leather seat stitching is coming undone and has some tears, the driver's seat is the worst of it (I have 1 new seat cover). The rear leather seats are still in good shape. The door panels have 1 crack each approximately 3-4 inches. The blue clear coat on the wheels is peeling. There are two hairline cracks in the dash. The car was a CA car first and then came to live in AZ. It has been in AZ for most of its life. I have had it in the garage or under a car cover when not in the garage. I have a car cover that can come with the car if you'd like. I have the convertible hard plastic cover kit for when the top is down. I have the original 30th anniversary owners manual. I have the original 30th anniversary floor mats (in great shape). Title is in hand. This car may not be the mint condition museum piece but with a few cosmetic improvements it will be good as new. With only 37,702 original miles it is highly collectable and will only gain value with Pontiac out of business and the last of the Anniversary Trans Ams; 1 of 175 ever made! I hate to sell it but with a growing family I just do not have the time to enjoy it anymore. I would love to see the car go to someone that will cherish it. Message me for more info. Thanks for looking!
