For sale is a 2001 CLK55 AMG. This vehicle is fully loaded with 112,877 Miles. It is without a doubt the most fun of the M113 AMG cars.
I bought the car from New Jersey from the third owner. It was owned by an older couple prior to him, and had spent a few years in storage and auctions prior to that. In the past ten years, roughly 20k miles have been put on the car according to carfax. In that time the car developed a lot of issue with emissions equipment and the 722.6 transmission. I bought this car in non-starting non-driving condition and have spent $1500 in parts alone just to get it back to optimum mechanical condition. I had serious plans to take this car to the Silver State Classic Road Race in Nevada this year, but life happens and I need to sell. I would hope the next person continues my restoration, but ultimately the choice is yours. Through research I have found that build numbers for the 2001 coupes are somewhere near the mid 500's, which is why I planned to keep this car as a future investment. As seen in the photos, there are a few cosmetic flaws, such as a cracked front bumper cover, a few rust bubbles that would need addressing to keep them from developing further, bubbling clearcoat on the roof, paint scuffs and a ding on the drivers fender.
The parts I have replaced and have new in box are as follows:
New MAXXStart Battery
New OEM conductor plate, 13 pin connector, pan gasket, filter, and fluid change.
New All 16 OEM NGK spark plugs.
New Cylinder 5 and Cylinder 7 OEM coil pack.
A new upstream driver side O2 sensor.
I have new in box, a crank position sensor(known failure on the M113 engine), camshaft sensor, NEW OEM driver seat fore and aft motor, new bosch rear brake pads, a factory transmission dipstick tool, transmission dipstick cover lock pins.
I also have kept the factory parts in a box that I have removed. These are all the original OEM parts, and can come with the purchase if you'd like.
Current known issues:
The AC doesn't blow cold, I haven't diagnosed this
