You are bidding on a 2002 VW TDI 5 speed manual trans. We have owned the car for 11+ years and bought it from a dealership. When we purchased it, it had about 90,000 miles on the odometer. It has run very well with very little service other than 4000 mile syn. oil changes and we run Diesel Clean in ever tank full of fuel. Two years ago we decided it needed a face lift, so over the last two years we have had the following done. First the interior was refurbished including both doors and the head liner. Carpeting was just fine because of the 4 floor mats that protected it well, they were replaced. Next the exterior was refinished, mostly front and rear, where the soft bumper material looked worn and dull compared to the rest of the body which is in like new condition. Within in the last 14 months we have had a new suspension installed, new tires, battery, brakes (only one for now) and an alternator. We also had the transmission flushed and filled with synthetic transmission fluid. What a difference! Then came the big expense! one day it would not fire up when starting. Everything on the cluster looked normal but it wouldn't catch. My wife (did I forget to tell you it is HER car) called to tell me they were taking it to the VW dealer in Post Charlotte. They narrowed it down to the Cluster. Because of age and being a Diesel It took 14 days to find and replace the Cluster and Computer which has a one year warranty. Needless to say it runs just fine and my wife is happy again! The photos don't show that the rear seats have head rests and the trunk has a shelf which goes over the top of the compartment. Now you're probably thinking, why are we selling it? We found a 2013 white VW coupe with auto shift 6 speed and 2.0 diesel. It has more room inside and my wife (the owner) loves it. Sadly to say we do not have a 3 car garage so the old Bug drew the short straw.
