It is time...
It is time to let our adventure van go. :(
This 2003 Volkswagen Eurovan is the Westfalia Edition.
It only has 137,000 miles and many many more to go.
This Van gets attention everywhere, and it makes every drive like a mini-vacation.
These Eurovans have so much space inside and not only are they good for sleeping up to 5 adults but also for transporting bulky goods. With only one trip we helped our friend move from LA to Las Vegas.
We took a couple of trips to From LA to The S.F. Bay Area and these were wonderful! We now live here :)
Oh, and it makes a great mobile office with an integrated table!
The Van has had a major transmission rebuilding service in Aug 2018 with a 2-year warranty. Among new spark plugs and valve cover seal. It has been in a great maintenance plan. We are the second owners.
A recent trip to my mechanic gave this adventure van a clean bill of health. A few sensors were replaced to improve responsiveness and gas efficiency.
-No oil/fluid leaks
-Pop top sleeper in great shape
-Maintained well over the years
-Rebuilt Transmission ($5,500) in August 2018
-The engine is in great shape
-Valve cover gaskets replaced 2018
-New Serpentine Belt
-LED rear turn signals
-Original Eurovan Bike rack.
-The previous (original) owner was not the best driver and unfortunately scraped both lateral sides and small dings here and there.
-Could use a new set of front tires
-Air heater not working. (My mechanic quoted me about $400-$500, but I never needed it with our sleeping bags and bon fires in the outdoors)
-A few armrests need to be repaired.
I am taking my time in selling so please no low-ball offers.
