Up for sale is my incredible 2003 Miata LS. We purchased it from the long-term owner back in October of 2018 from a Miata.net member with the intention of keeping it for the next ten years. My aging father found it difficult to get in and out of as 73 years old - so it came to live in my garage! I am just not using it - and would like to see it out on the twisty roads with a new owner. The car is immaculate, original paint (vin tags in place), no leather or carpet wear, top is perfect, no winters, always garaged, tires and 949 6UL rims are like new, Pioneer head unit (Apple Car Play equipped), AC functions as new.
I have had a number of Miata's (NA and NB) in the past, and we upgraded this already awesome machine with Shane at Indy Miata. At his recommendation we took on the suspension (Meister R Zeda Coilovers), exhaust/headers (Racing Beat), bracing (FM Butterfly Brace and Strong Arms up front), LED Headlight Upgrade, Goodwin Clutch, Flywheel, Clutch Master, Stainless lines for brakes and clutch, alignment, and had a complete 60K service (inc Timing Belt, belts, hoses, gaskets, seals, Redline Fluids all around, and more). We also installed a custom Guardian Designs plug and play custom steering wheel and boot kit.
This is the review from Shane, owner of AMI Tuning/Indy Miata - post updating work:
Chassis is stiff and rigid as expected, the mods go a longways here towards updating a 30 year-old design. The suspension is nice; it tracks well, it's sporty yet compliant, very neutral, and has more grip than you can use on the street... if you're really putting it through it's paces, just pull over and wait for the officer to arrive haha. I had limited time to play with the adjustability of the shocks, but the nice thing is you can easily tune it how you like. Currently it's set up to where it is forgiving in a street environment but you can still steer the car with the throttle in low to mid speed operation. The engine lights off and revs freely with the lightweight flywheel; power is notably more crisp than stock from the midrange pulling all the way up to redline. It's a bit rowdy in the first couple of gears for sure! Sounds great when you're gassing it, and reasonable exhaust tone at highway speeds. The brake pedal is firm and easily modulated; lots of headroom for scrubbing off speed here, definitely on par with the upgraded power output. The headlights are better than OEM for sure, the LEDs make a noticeable difference in light output. The car is completely up to date in terms of maintenance, you shouldn't have to touch anything besides brake pads in the next 60K miles. Wish the steering wheel would have arrived in time, would love to see the finished project. Overall it feels like a much more modern machine. You've essentially assembled the ultimate normally-aspirated street Miata that Mazda should have built in the first place, it's a blast to hammer around
Please feel free to contact me with any questions. The car is resting comfortably, freshly clay barred and waxed with Adams products, under a cover (Custom California Car Cover Included), and on a battery tender.
