Relisted! If you didn't win the first time, here's your second chance!! IMPORTANT! This Jeep is in Yelm, WA. Near Tacoma and Olympia. Not Spokane as the original listing said. Stuff happens.
Up for sale is this excellent 2005 Jeep TJ Wrangler Willys Edition with a 4.0, 6 speed manual, and well under 100k miles! (It's got (97k-ish right now, but I'm gonna drive it while I've still got it, so I estimated 98k)
Do a little research and you'll find that they only made like 2000 Willys Editions in 2005! This Jeep has stopped depreciating in value and has been appreciating the past couple of years. It is very collectible!
Look at the pics; I didn't even clean it up. LOL! It is what it is, and what it is is a very solid and honest little Jeep. It needs NOTHING mechanically and has no rust other than the rear bumper, which is an aftermarket Warn brand bumper, and they are notorious for rusting around the W-shaped cutouts at the ends. The bumper is still solid though. Sand it and paint it an boom! Perfect!
This Jeep has factory auxiliary lights on the bumper. They work fine, but the lens on one is cracked.
She's sitting on a little over a thousand dollars worth of tires: four like new 31-10.50-15 GoodYear Duratracs on factory steel wheels. These are awesome and expensive tires! here
This Jeep has the original moss green soft top with no holes or tears, and that's a unicorn, y'all! You can still see through the windows just fine and all the zippers still work. I leave the top on all year and zip all the windows out in the summer, then in the fall I polish the plastic windows and clean and lube the zippers before I put them back in. The top does have some pine sap on it, but I'm told that stuff comes off with something called Goof Off or Goo Gone or something like that. I had neither the time nor the inclination, so... It also has the very cool original factory camo seats with no holes, tears, or stains.
It came with the factory subwoofer, which is blown, but I have an upgrade subwoofer on the way and I'll have it installed before the end of this auction. I had a Pioneer head unit with removable face installed, but I also have the original and will stick it under the seat before it leaves. The Pioneer is bluetooth and there's a microphone for hands-free calls. There are new speakers in the rollbar pods and I believe the factory speakers in the dash.
Both interior door panels have the small stress cracks that just about all TJs get, but otherwise they're in real good shape. They open and close as they should and are easy to take off and put back on. Summer's coming!!
This Jeep has No Rust! There is a quarter size spot of surface rust wear your heel rests near the throttle pedal. The W's in the bumper are rusty. And the muffler has surface rust. Period. There is no rust-through that I can find anywhere on the body or tub or frame!
This Jeep has dealership installed Air Conditioning! I've never really used it because I take the doors and windows out in the summer, but it's there and that's pretty unique! It also has tilt steering and variable intermittent wiper. Both of those are pretty standard, but somebody asked about it, so...
Ever bought a used Jeep before? They all need something, right? Not this one! It doesn't need a clutch or brakes or u-joints or engine work. It doesn't need a tub or floor pans. It doesn't need wheel bearings. It doesn't need an oil pump or a water pump. It doesn't need tires. It starts right up, sounds good, runs good, shifts good, brakes good, etc. I'd drive this Jeep anywhere with total confidence!
The paint is old and looks it. It shines up real nice (see where I cleaned the hood to better show the crows-footing) but there are some scratches here and there and the hood is badly crows-footed. But she's still a good lookin' Jeep and gets a lot of looks and a lot of compliments.
Look at the pics. See the engine? It's dusty, right? Any oil leak would show up but there are no leaks. The engine is oil-tight! There is minor seepage from the transmission but it's never left a drop of any kind on my driveway.
The decal sets are still available for these rigs, so if you wanted to paint it for a total restoration, it's easily doable. This Jeep has never been wrecked. There's no bondo anywhere that I can find. There's no body work needed. Paint it, put fresh decals on it, and clean the interior real good and boom, she'll look new! Or do like me... just drive it like it is and call the paint patina! Lol!
The title for this Jeep is clean and clear and in my possession.
I'm starting the auction at 7500 bucks, which would be a killer deal for any solid 4.0 TJ with under 100k miles, and this one's a Willys Edition!
I've done my best to be totally honest in this listing. I love this Jeep and you will too! There is no bullshirt low starting price and high reserve. I'm starting at the absolute least I'll take for it and the Buy It Now is well below what you'd pay a dealer. Solid TJ's with under 100k on the odo are selling for lots more.
This Jeep is listed locally and in a couple of Facebook groups, so I reserve the right to end it without notice.
Look at the pics and ask questions, then bid like you want it!
Thanks for looking, and good luck!
