eBay I am selling my 2006 Porsche Carrera 4S. I purchased this car in September of 2016 from a Doctor in Franklin Tennessee. He purchased from a dealer in Florida, I am the fifth owner. The car has had a couple of minor fender benders but was repaired professionally as verified by the Auto body repair guy that I used to have extensive paint work and interior work done on the car.
The following repair/cosmetic work was completed since April of 2016, I have no repair history prior to this other the minor items that appear on the carfax,
1. 43,186 miles, 40k service done at Porsche of Nashville, including new coil packs. 2170.002. Front bumper repaint, paint correction, rear wheels refinished, brake calipers repainted, front seats re-dyed, paint blends fixed, I have pictures and complete breakdown of what was done.3. Replaced both Vanity mirrors as the hinges were broken, 4, Replaced brake rotors (Sebro Drilled) , pads (Hawk Ceramic), and all hardware related to this repair. 5. Replaced RH front Axle (OEM) as the boot was leaking, 6. Replaced Water Pump (Pierburg), Thermostat, all related hoses, clamps, bolts. 7. Replaced A/C Expansion valve and Drier, recharged A/C system, 8. Replaced Porsche Center Crests on Wheels, 9. Tires are new Bridgestones, less than 2k miles on them10. Oil and filter changes each year that I have owned it, Liqui Moly oil which is what my indy recommends. 11. Brake fluid was changed during the 40k service in April of 2016, will probably have it changed again later this year.
Options Include:Full Leather InteriorPASMSport ModeHeated/Electric SeatsPorsche Crest on Head RestsBose NAV system, (kind of a joke but it's 2006 technology)
I contacted Porsche of West Broward and Porsche of Nashville to try to get prior repair history but neither dealer would release it to me.
As you can see by the current mileage, I haven't driven it much since it was purchased. It is strictly a weekend fair weather driver. While in my possession I have slowly been replacing, repairing all known issues unique to these cars as well as restoring the paint and interior cosmetics. Car has been sitting in my garage on a battery tender and under a cover since purchase and has been completely babied. I know how finicky Porsche buyers can be as I am one of them. Even with the paint work that has been done, full disclosure, passenger side door has a few touch up spots and a few small chips, (hard to see). Back of car near the Carrera badge there are a couple of blemishes as well as on the rear wing. I believe for a car of this age the paint is a 8.5 out of 10 but I am very picky, some others might think it is a 9 out of 10. It is a black car so no matter how much you try, it is next to impossible to keep the paint perfect. INTERIOR: there are a couple of small blemishes on the headliner and the rear seats have a couple of dimples, probably when hauling something heavy. Again, I am very picky so the blemishes are noticeable to me but may not be to others. Screen on the Nav system has a couple of spider webs, system works fine. I don't use the radio as I would rather listen to the engine while I am driving. Anyone who knows these cars is aware that the Bose/Nav system in these cars is pretty weak. The only thing I haven't addressed is the passenger side mirror which doesn't work electrically, the drivers side does.
Car is mechanically pretty much perfect. Shifting is smooth and clutch engages perfectly no issues. I will say, until this car warms up, down shifts to 1st are pretty balky but I believe that is pretty common on Porsche cars as I had a 1987 Turbo that was worse than this one.
Please note that I feel my reserve is fair but will discuss all reasonable offers. (Reasonable does not mean something in the 20-30 range.) This car has had over 12k of repair/restoration work in the last 2.5 years and mechanically you won't find too many that are in this condition. I have tried to be as specific as I can with my description and do realize that the carfax shows two minor accidents and 5 owners including myself, this is why I believe I am being real about the value of the car. I do know that black C4S models with manual transmissions are getting harder to find. I can assure you my description is very accurate and I would be glad to have my Indy, Mike at Ultimate Auto Group look over the car once more and talk to any prospective owner. Mike just had the car in his shop in April of this year for a state inspection and the water pump/thermostat replacement.
On Oct-15-18 at 01:29:04 PDT, seller added the following information:I have all the receipts for work that has been done to the car since April of 2016. I also have all of the manuals, 2 keys, original window sticker and a custom car cover. I do not have the original NAV disc for the navigation system but the system is so outdated I felt no need to update the system.
