This great little Ghia is a solid basis for a restoration. The body is in pretty good shape, no rust or cancer .Lots of work has been done already. The rear quarter is spot welded on and need to be completed, otherwise the previous owner did lots of fibreglass work. There is surface rust on the floor.
Mechanically the car seems to be in pretty good shape, lots has been done with a binder full of receipts. It fires up right away and drives through the gears nicely. The brakes need bleeding ,the master cylinder has been replaced. I just don't have the time.I haven't gone through the electrical thoroughly. The running gear though seems pretty tight.
The interior, it needs some love, the seats are okay but have seen some years of wear. The rear panels are missing.(they are $60 to replace. The headliner is okay no tears.
I have a box of trim and the missing tail light and all the emblems, maybe missing mirrors, haven't found em yet.
long and short is it is a great car to restore,I bought it mostly on the condition of the body an its lack of rust .Is it perfect,no but a great car to restore. I have done my best to represent this car to the best of my ability,I have not done the work myself or can speak to much about the condition of the car outside of what I have told you .If you have questions please feel free to ask.
I have set the reserve at a fairly reasonable low price for the car
